How to check if your Pan Card is duplicate or original : You must have heard about almost 11 lakh Pan card were deactivated by the Income Tax (IT) Department.
The IT Department said this move was taken on the account of one individual holding multiple Pan Cards or fake Pan Cards.
Today I am going to show you how you can check your Pan Card to know if it is original or duplicate.
How to know your Pan Card is duplicate or original
1 – Go to the Income Tax Department website https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/.
2 – Now you need to click on the Know your PAN.
3 – You need to fill the required details.
4 – Now you will receive the 6-digit verification code. Enter the code and click on the submit.
- Step-1. Logon to ‘e-Filing’ Portal https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
- Step-2. Click on ‘Verify Your PAN details’ hyperlink from the ‘Quick Links’ Section.
- Step-3. Enter the PAN, Full Name (As per PAN), Date of Birth and Choose the ‘Status’ as applicable.
- Step-4.
As you can see my Pan Card is active it means it is original so you can also check yours.
